Maturation
Inside new Allier English oak's barriques (225 litres) for twelve
months, followed by further refinement inside bottles for one
year, in the cellar at a constant temperature.
Sensorial characteristics
sight: red ruby colour, intense and bright.
smell: intense and persistent perfume, with inkling of under-growth
fruits and spices.
taste: warm with smooth tannins and a still fresh nuance.
_ Good harmonious balance. Excellent total structure. It may
be aged for a prolonged time.
Gastronomic combinations
Roasted red meat, noble poultry, venison, game and all great cuisine
dishes.

Information
The name of the wine originates from the village located near
the Middle Age Castle of Cusercoli (1100 - 1150). This castle
was enlarges during the centuries 1200 - 1400, and became a Baronial
palace where resided the Giaggiolo, a branch of the Malatesta
Family, and afterwards it became the residence of the Counts of
Cusercoli, Guidi of Bagno.
