Information
Mastalsò was the name of an ancient water-mill for corn,
that was also fit up for husking. There was a fulling mill as
well for the threshing and fulling of woollen cloth, carried out
for the tanning and textile industries, using maces set going
from the mill’s wheel. In 1535 the Count Astorgio of Cusercoli
built in this area a paper-mill, at that time one of the most
important ones in the whole Romagna.
