The stylised union of the woodcock and the glass
aims to make evident the two most important items in wine-gastronomy,
in other words food and wine. The choice of this bird, whose name
in the local dialect is "La galinaza" was not however
accidental: this bird, in fact , has always been considered by
generations of "wood-cock hunters" as the most interesting,
seducing and full of character among the birds living in this
region. This bird is not very easy to find, is bashful, silent
and normally chooses to live alone; such peculiarities concurred
to name this bird "Queen of the Wood" and somehow it
may be compared to the vine-makers, struggling with their difficult
profession.
The vinedresser activity is always exposed to the weather's fancies
and needs to be carried out with a transparent capacity, specific
know-how as well as with updated technologies in pace with the
times of oenological progress, in order to produce constantly
improving quality wines, to meet a larger and hopefully growing
appreciation form the consumers.
The symbolic union of the woodcock and the glass in the Company's
logo, can finally be read as the seal of a common purpose and
as a wish for the future enjoyable banquets.
